We will provide teachers with a free desk copy of any book if we receive a request on department stationery that includes the course name, date, and estimated class enrollment. Please ask your bookstore for a purchase order number to add to your request. After confirming the order, we will send a desk copy within two business days.

We cannot send free copies if the college bookstore sells used books instead of ordering new ones from us. (We will make an exception and provide a desk copy if the bookstore sells our used coursebooks at an 80-90% discount off our list price.)

We will provide teachers with an examination copy of any book at a 10% discount if we receive a request on department letterhead that indicates the course name, date, and estimated size of the final order. These orders must be prepaid, but the price will be refunded if an order for ten or more copies is placed through the college bookstore within 90 days, or if the book is returned in resalable condition.

Our books for course adoptions are carefully edited and designed and priced very affordably for students, and the royalties paid to our authors are based on new book sales. In order to keep our books affordable, we cannot provide free copies of books that will not be ordered for a course.
